Mini Split Systems

Creating a comfortable house that feels like home.

Ductless cooling and heating technology is a welcomed alternative to traditional systems, quickly becoming the fastest growing segment in the marketplace. Popular around the globe, this more flexible, energy efficient, and easy-to-install solution allows you to control the temperate in individual rooms rather than throughout your entire house.

Mini split products are ideal for homes with:

  • Additions or renovations

  • Enclosed patios

  • Larger, multi-zone living spaces

  • No room for ductwork

  • Rooms with extreme temperature differences

How Ductless Systems Work

Ductless systems pump cooled or heated refrigerant through flexible copper lines directly to wall- or ceiling-mounted units. Every room or living space has its own air handling unit and wireless temperate controller.

Indoor Unit – A compressor warms or cools refrigerant, which is sent through flexible copper lines to the desired air handler within the home.

Outdoor Unit – Refrigerant within the unit cools or heats the air and quietly streams it as needed into the room.

Wireless Control Unit – The controller allows you to adjust the temperature and fan speed of the indoor unit from anywhere in the house with just a touch of a button.

Benefits of Ductless Systems

A mini split system allows you to independently control the temperate in each room of your home, ensuring every member of your family is comfortable. And unlike traditional heating and cooling options, this system does not require you to install ductwork throughout your house, saving you time and money.

Another great benefit of mini split systems is that you can connect up to eight indoor units to one outdoor unit. The indoor units come in several different models to include; wall mounted units, floor console units, cassette ceiling units, and concealed ceiling units. While the most cost effective models are typically between 17 and 22 SEER, they now have systems over 33 SEER. SEER (or seasonal energy efficiency ratio) is essentially how much you pay in electricity for the same amount of cooling, the higher the SEER rating, the less you pay in energy annually. I typically explain SEER rating to customers as miles per gallon, while a 17 SEER model would equate to roughly 30 miles per gallon, a 33+ SEER model would be over 100! For example, with a 5 ton(2500s.f.) system, energy savings of a 33+ SEER model vs. a 17 SEER model would be almost $25,000 in 15 years, and that’s at current energy rates! Definitely a factor to consider before making such an investment.

Multipurpose

Mini split systems have the ability to heat and cool your home. Through major technological advancements, newer systems heat at full capacity down to 5°F.

Long Lasting.

Mini splits last significantly longer than traditional systems. With proper care, we expect our customers to get 12 to 15 years from their systems.

Limited Maintenance.

These systems require a fraction of the maintenance compared to conventional setups. Annual service is still required in order to adhere to their warranty protocol.
